SPECIAL EVENTS

The High Point - Thomasville Chapter conducts several special events each year.  Some are designed to generate funds to help provide our services.  Some are designed to honor those volunteers who make our service delivery possible.  All are just plain fun.

Tour de Furniture	August 2, 2008

The 2007 Tour de Furniture featured over 300 riders and their choice of four different routes: 10K, 50K, 50 Miler, and a 100K. 

The 2008 tour starts and finishes in downtown High Point.  In between, riders pass through the beautiful Piedmont of Central North Carolina. 

It's all for fun. Gear up in August for the Tour de Furniture.

It's called Operation: 'Bear-Hug' and it's a chance for you to have your very own  teddy bear.* 

Through a special arrangement with the Mary Meyer organization, we'll be selling these teddy bears from mid-November through December to raise money for local services.  You can have your own bear year-round.  They are the softest teddy bears you've ever cuddled.
