HEALTH & SAFETY SERVICES
The mission of the Red Cross is to help people prevent, prepare for and respond
to emergencies. Through the various Health & Safety Services (H&SS), you
can acquire the knowledge, skills and attitudes to help prevent, prepare for and
respond to emergencies in order to save and improve lives.
We offer four types of H&SS programs:
CPR/AED and First Aid Training
Aquatics Programs
HIV/Aids Awareness Programs
Children's Programs
Cardio-Pulmonary
Resuscitation (CPR) and Automated External Defibrillator (AED) Training:
The High Point-Thomasville Chapter provides regular training opportunities at
the chapter offices. These classes are offered in a variety of forms and
formats, depending on your needs. We also teach these same skills in
courses designed for the workplace. View our

H&SS) HIV/Aids Awareness Programs: In cooperation with the
High Point Aids Coalition, the High Point-Thomasville Chapter provides the facts
about HIV/Aids throughout our community. If you would like to know the
facts, not rumors and fiction, visit one of our coalition partners, or
contact us.
Children's Programs: Young people, ages 13-18, can learn how to
safely and responsibly care for children. Become a
Certified Red Cross Babysitter by taking our Babysitter's Training Course.
