As the High Point – Thomasville Chapter
of the American Red Cross continues to react to new situations, expanding and
perfecting the services provided in our community and beyond, your support is
very important. Your generosity will ensure that the Red Cross will be there
when people are in need. Our mission: To help people prevent, prepare for, and respond to emergencies now
and into the future.
The American Red Cross is not a government agency. We
are an independent non-profit organization that relies upon your generosity to
reach out to help the people in High Point, Thomasville, Jamestown, Archdale,
and Trinity as disasters strike and we face personal, local and regional
emergencies.
Where does my donation go?
In Fiscal Year 2006, the High Point – Thomasville Chapter provided the
following services to our communities:

Provided financial assistance to 64 families following
a disaster.

Taught over 10,000 people how to perform life saving
skills like First Aid and CPR.

Deployed volunteers to provide relief to natural
disasters throughout our geographical area, the southeast, and beyond.

Relayed 132 emergency messages for members of the
military and their family that helped people stay connected despite the
great distances that separated them.

In addition, the Red Cross offers programs like
Babysitters Training to teach teens the skills they need to care for an
infant or small child, and what to do in an emergency situation. Is
